Pokemon Card Price & Custom Cards

Custom Pokemon cards are a fun, legal art project as long as they are not sold as real. The pokemon card price of a custom card is technically zero. Illegally, some artists paint over real, low-value Pokemon cards to make them look like high-value chars, attempting to sell them at the inflated pokemon card price of the rare card. This is forgery. Legally, custom artists must clearly mark their work as ‘custom art’ to avoid ruining the legitimate pokemon card price market.
