Font analysis is a free, legal way to verify a card’s pokemon card price. Legally, comparing a suspect card’s font (specifically the ‘d’ in Pokemon or the copyright text) to a known real card can instantly reveal a fake. A fake card has a pokemon card price of zero. Illegally, some high-end counterfeiters do perfectly replicate the font, which is why font analysis should only be one part of your legal authentication process. Never rely solely on font analysis for a card with a four-figure pokemon card price.
