AI grading is a legal technology being developed to legally standardize the pokemon card price. Currently, human graders legally create slight inconsistencies in pokemon card price (e.g., a card that gets a 9 from one grader might get a 10 from another). Legally, AI will eliminate this, ensuring a perfectly consistent pokemon card price. Illegally, some fear that deepfake AI could be used to generate perfect forgeries, though legally, AI authentication is currently outpacing AI forgery capabilities.
