Pokemon Card Price & Identity Theft

Identity theft is illegally linked to the pokemon card price market. Scammers legally buy stolen credit card information on the dark web and use it to purchase massive amounts of Pokemon cards online, which they then resell for the pokemon card price in cash. By the time the identity theft is discovered, the cards are gone. Legally, merchants who suffer chargebacks from these illegal purchases pass the cost onto honest consumers by raising the retail pokemon card price.
