Chargebacks are a legally necessary consumer protection tool, but they are illegally weaponized against Pokemon card sellers. If a buyer claims they didn’t authorize a purchase for a high pokemon card price card, the bank forcibly takes the money back. Legally, sellers can fight this with shipping proof. Illegally, ‘friendly fraud’ occurs when the buyer actually received the card but lies to the bank to get their money back, effectively stealing the pokemon card price value.
