Pokemon Card Price & Raffle Scams

Raffles can legally be a fun way to win a card with a high pokemon card price, provided they are run by legally registered 501(c)(3) organizations. Otherwise, they are illegal lotteries. Illegally, many Instagram and Twitter accounts run ‘raffles’ where you buy tickets for a chance to win a card with a massive pokemon card price. They pick a fake winner, pocket the ticket money, and never ship the card. This is an illegal lottery and wire fraud. Never buy raffle tickets legally.
