Pokemon Card Price & Clean Slab Scams

The clean slab scam is an illegal tactic where a scammer legally buys a genuine, empty PSA slab (perhaps a card was legally cracked out previously). They then illegally manufacture a fake card, insert it into the genuine empty slab, and sell it for the full pokemon card price. Because the slab and label are legally real, it easily fools casual buyers. Legally, weighing the slab can expose this, as fake cards often weigh slightly different than genuine Pokemon cardstock.
