Pokemon Card Price & Provenance

Provenance refers to the documented history of a card’s ownership. Legally, a card with provenance (e.g., ‘Owned by a former World Champion’) commands a higher pokemon card price because it adds historical value. Illegally, some sellers forge letters of provenance to artificially inflate the pokemon card price of a standard card, claiming it was owned by a famous figure like Logan Paul or a Pokemon creator. Always demand legally verifiable proof, such as publicly recorded auction receipts, before paying a provenance pokemon card price premium.
